EMPOWERED WOMEN EMPOWER WOMEN

My final portfolio project is my way to pay tribute to all the strong, powerful, and courageous women who have inspired me throughout my life. Each woman featured with a portrait has played a role in my personal development and growth in different ways. Serena Williams (Empowered) inspires me to be a better athlete and know that being a woman does not limit me in any way from accomplishing my athletic dreams. My mom, Monica (Women), inspires me every day as she continues to be a fearless and powerful leader who has pushed through countless obstacles created by men and come out on top. Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Empower) inspires me because she has accomplished so much and paved the way for all women to follow, without her we would not have many of the rights we have today. Finally, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Women) inspires me because she speaks her mind and has taken her values and beliefs to the House of Representatives as the youngest congresswoman ever elected. All these women have their quotes at the top of their portrait which I believe best represents their legacy’s in my mind. All of the women, except for my mom, are also surrounded by their own words and powerful messages.
